Recently, we have noted the intensification of military preparations of the Ukrainian side along the entire line of contact. Contrary to all existing agreements, the official Kiev continues to bring heavy weaponry, military equipment and vehicles carrying military personnel, ammunition and fuel to the line of contact.

On February 14, in Minsk, the regular meeting of the Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass was held. During the meeting, the negotiators paid special attention to issues of compliance with the ceasefire regime, the implementation of agreements on the withdrawal of prohibited weapons and the disengagement of forces, as well as the exchange of prisoners.

O February 12, a meeting, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Donetsk-Krivorozh Republic, was held near the Artyom monument in Donetsk. The solemn event was attended by the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, the Chairman of the DPR People's Council Denis Pushilin, the deputies of the People's Council, the representatives of ministries and departments of the Republic.

The possibility of restoration of Vodafone’s mobile services in the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic completely depends on Ukraine at the moment and, on the part of the DPR, it proposed several variants of solving this issue. The establishment of a mechanism to punish those responsible for the violation of ceasefire regime is a necessary measure that will reduce the number of shooting incidents of human settlements. This was stated by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, the Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the DPR in the Contact group’s negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin on February 9 during an interview with journalists.

The Ukrainian enforcers continue to occupy settlements and territories located within so-called “grey zone”. This fact was noted by the OSCE SMM, which indicated a reduction in the distance between the positions of the parties to the conflict.
