Certainly, there was no a full-fledged ceasefire during any of truces. But “school truce”, as “bread” one before, performs a different function – it reduces shelling incidents. Of course, for a number of reasons, we see a periodic escalation with an increase in the number of shelling incidents even during the truce – all such cases are recorded.

On September 16, in Donetsk, the presentation of an illustrated edition in Russian and English "The Books of the Living: 2014-2016" took place. The event was attended by the Vice-Commander of the DPR Defense Ministry's corps, Eduard Basurin, and the Chairman of the DPR People's Council, permanent representative of the DPR at the talks of the Contact group in Minsk Denis Pushilin.

The Chairman of the DPR People's Council, the permanent representative of the DPR for the talks of the Contact group in Minsk, Denis Pushilin, in an interview with RIA Novosti commented on the information that the government of the Russian Federation is considering the redistribution and streamlining of the aid provided for Donbass.

As part of today's videoconference, the DPR raised the issue of systematic violations of the ceasefire regime by the AFU. In their claims, the representatives of the Republic were not even based on the data of the DPR Army, which our opponents consider contentious, but on the reports of the OSCE SMM, which, according to the Package of Measures, has the function of monitoring the situation.

The complete separation of forces and means along the entire line of contact in Donbass may not take place in the foreseeable future because of the position of Kiev. This view was shared by the Chairman of the DPR People's Council, the permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR in the Contact group at negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin in an interview with the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

On September 6, a regular meeting of the Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass was held in Minsk. The agenda of the meeting included compliance with a cease-fire, the implementation of the Agreement on the separation of forces and means and the exchange of prisoners.

It is reasonable for the security of the OSCE SMM staff to strengthen them with the United Nations’ peacekeepers after separation of forces and means, under a framework decision, in order to implement a full-fledged ceasefire.

On September 1, a commemorative event was held at the Donbass Law Academy to coincide the beginning of the new 2017/18 school year and the upcoming Lawyers’ Day. The celebration was attended by the Chairman of the DPR People's Council Denis Pushilin, the People's Council’s deputies Sergey Zavdoveyev and Alexander Simonenko, the President of the Supreme Court Eduard Yakubovsky.

As part of today's videoconference, the Donetsk People's Republic has confirmed its commitment to the implementation of the "school armistice", and also welcomed the participants' proposals on measures to prevent the aggravation of situation on the contact line, the need to investigate and punish the perpetrators of violations of the "silence regime".

On August 26, a holiday concert entitled “With Makeyevka in heart”, which was timed to the 327th anniversary of the founding of the city, was held in Makeyevka. The event was attended by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin, the People’s Council’s deputies, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation’s deputy Andrey Kozenko and the Acting Head of the Makeyevka city administration Valery Lyakhovets.
