On April 26, a meeting of the Contact group on the peaceful conflict settlement in the Donbass was held in Minsk. The agenda included issues related to the blockade of the People's Republics, as well as humanitarian issues.

On April 24, a round table on the topic "Achievements of the Donetsk People's Republic for three years" was held in the building of the Donetsk city council.

On April 14, another plenary meeting was held in Donetsk, attended by honorable guests from the Russian Federation, the Сhairman of the Veterans Union of the Crimean Republic's People's Militia Armen Martoyan and the master of sports of the international class, the absolute world record holder in powerlifting Mariyana Naumova.

On April 14, a solemn serving of membership cards to the working collective of the state enterprise "Comtel" was held. The event was attended by the Chairman of the DPR People's Council Denis Pushilin.

On April 12, in Minsk, a regular meeting of the Contact group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass was held. The agenda included issues related to compliance with the ceasefire regime, as well as Ukraine's full transport blockade realization.

Serious concerns among the community are caused by the condition of the mines on the part of the Donbass territory controlled by Kiev. The coal mining industry of Ukraine has long been underfunded, which has had a detrimental effect on the mines condition, both abandoned and in the process of liquidation.

Litter picking was held on April 8, at the Donetsk Komsomol Park of Culture and Recreation within the framework of a two-month landscaping programme. The event, organized on the initiative of the public movement "Donetsk Republic", was attended by about 100 people – deputies of the parliamentary faction "Donetsk Republic" and the activists of this public movement.

On April 7, in the session hall of the Government House, in which the Declaration on the Sovereignty of the Donetsk People's Republic was adopted three years ago, and the State Independence Act was signed, the Chairman of the People's Council Denis Pushilin congratulated the inhabitants of the Republic on the anniversary of the DPR proclamation.

On April 7, a mass rally, timed to the third anniversary of the proclamation of the Donetsk People’s Republic, was held at the Lenin square in Donetsk. The Chairman and deputies of the DPR People’s Council participated in the event.

On April 4, a mourning rally was held in the capital of the Donetsk People's Republic on the victims of the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg on April 3, 2017. The Chairman of the DPR People's Council Denis Pushilin participated in the event.
