On March 16, a meeting entitled “Russia – Donbass. Together forever!” took place near a “To militia of all times” monument on the square near the building of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea.

On Friday, March 16, the city of Simferopol (the Republic of Crimea, the Russian Federation) is hosting festive events dedicated to the fourth anniversary of the all-Crimean referendum in 2014 and the Day of the Crimea's reunification with Russia.

In accordance with the instruction of the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Aleksandr Vladimirovich Zakharchenko, today an appeal was sent to the OSCE requesting assistance in organizing an extraordinary meeting of the Contact Group in videoconference mode to discuss the "Easter truce" from April 1 and its main parameters.

On March 14, another meeting of the Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass took place in Minsk. The agenda included issues of compliance with the armistice, the implementation of the agreement on the disengagement of forces and facilities in Stanitsa Luganskaya, the preparation of the exchange of prisoners and the implementation of the Steinmeier's Formula. 

In the context of the Contact Group’s work, the Donetsk People's Republic supported a decision to introduce a comprehensive, sustainable and indefinite cease-fire regime starting from March 5, 2018.

On March 1, the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation held an enlarged meeting of the Committee for Public Support of the residents of south-eastern Ukraine. The event focused on the discussion of the situation in Donbass, work of the Ministry of Emergency Situation of Russia to provide humanitarian assistance to residents of the People's Republics, 

The people are source of authority in the Donetsk People's Republic and free elections are the highest expression of it. These principles are enshrined in the DPR Constitution, and therefore should and will be implemented in the upcoming elections this year.

The latest legislative initiatives of the Ukrainian political elite aimed at trying to justify their criminal decisions against the Donbass do not relieve Ukraine of the implementation of the Set of Measures to Implement the Minsk Agreements, supported by UN Security Council Resolution No. 2202 of February 17, 2015.

On February 28, in Minsk, a regular meeting of the Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass was held. The agenda included issues of compliance with the ceasefire, the implementation of the agreement on the disengagement of forces and facilities, the preparation of the process of exchanging prisoners, as well as the discussion of political and economic issues.

Cynical and absolutely unscrupulous actions of the Ukrainian side on February 22 led to the death of three people.
