As an integral part of the meetings of the Contact group and the Subgroup on Security, we have repeatedly raised the issue of the need to resume the official participation of representatives of Republics in Joint Centre for Control and Coordination on a parity basis, as was the case prior to the introduction by the Ukrainian side of a special order for crossing the demarcation line on January 22, in 2015.

On July 19, Minsk hosted a regular meeting of the Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass was held in Minsk. The agenda included issues relating to the observance of the ceasefire regime, the implementation of the Agreement on the separation of forces and means in the area of Stanitsa Luganskaya and the exchange of prisoners.

The appearance of an American unmanned aircraft above the demarcation line is detrimental to the implementation of the Minsk agreements. The permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR at negotiations in Minsk, the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin reported it to the newspaper “Outlook”.

Denis Pushilin, Permanent Representative of the DPR to the Contact group in Minsk, commented on the possibility of participation in the conflict settlement in the Donbass of an armed peace-support mission, the correspondent of the DPR official website informs.

On July 5, in Minsk, a regular meeting of the Contact group on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass was held. The agenda included issues related to the observance of the "silence regime", the implementation of the agreement on the forces and facilities disengagement in the third pilot place, as well as the preparation for the exchange of prisoners. 

For several centuries the world has been associating the Donbass as a mining region. Most of the region population is connected in one way or another with the coal mining industry. And the events of recent years have not changed this.

On July 1, according to the agenda of the plenary session, the parliamentarians heard the report of the Chairman of the People's Council of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, which summed up the results of the work of the DPR Parliament for the spring session of 2017.

On July 1, an annual Republican award ceremony “Graduate of the Year – 2017”, with the support of the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, took place in the Donetsk Centre of Slavic culture. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science, the Donetsk Academy of Management and Public Administration under the Head of the DPR and the DPR Trade Union of Scientific and Educational Workers.

On July 1, the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic Alexander Zakharchenko addressed the deputies before the beginning of the DPR People's Council’s plenary meeting of the spring session.

On June 30, a solemn event on the occasion of the DPR Economists Day was held at the Donetsk Art and Exhibition Centre “Art–Donbass". The event was attended by the Chairman of the DPR People's Council Denis Pushilin and the Minister of Economic Development Victoria Romanyuk.
