Denis Pushilin’s commentary on progress of negotiation process in Minsk
On February 15, the Chairman of DPR People’s Council, the permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR in the Contact group at negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin participated in a live television broadcast “First Studio” on the Russian First TV channel.
During the programme, the DPR’s plenipotentiary envoy described the outcome of the Contact group’s meeting in Minsk.
ʺI would like to emphasize the work of the subgroup on political affairs today. Once again, the issue of “Steinmeier’s formula” realization, which, in fact, means the introduction of law on Special Status, has become a stumbling block for the Ukrainian negotiators. There is the only one thing to say: Ukraine is trying to delay the negotiation process again,ʺ Denis Pushilin concluded.
He also commented on the statement of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Hroisman on rolling blackouts in Ukraine and a catastrophic coal shortage.
ʺAny blockade is detrimental to both sides and this situation itself is a very clear demonstration. The statement concerning the introduction of a state of emergency in the matter of energy is not a rumor, but reality. On the part of Ukrainian government, we hear that they are against this blockade, but there is nothing they can do about it,ʺ Denis Pushilin said.
