Denis Pushilin’s statement on conveying emergency video conference with President of Ukraine
Actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the President are a well-orchestrated action aimed at drawing the world’s attention to Ukraine. In fact, it is a bloody PR.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have provoked violent military clashes throughout the front line for almost a week, using tanks and heavy artillery. I am sure that Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is aware of the actions of his own army and gives orders personally.
However, referring to concerns about situation in Avdeevka, Petrо Poroshenko demands to convene the emergency video conference and knows full well that a face-to-face meeting of negotiators will take place in Minsk tomorrow. The acute situation in Avdeevka is not uncommon due to regular provocations of AFU in the area of the ill-fated triangle (airport, industrial zone, Yasinovataya’s checkpoint) and the Ukrainian President has decided to pay attention to his citizens here and now, blatantly interrupting his visit to Germany.
At the same time, he is hardly concerned about the situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic, whose territory has been shelled more than 2,000 times in the last 24 hours, with the use of 152 mm artillery shells, MLRS BM-21 “Grad”, 120 mm mortars as well as tanks and rocket-propelled grenades. Infrastructure has been destroyed, entire cities have been left without water and electricity, there are dead and wounded.
