On December 27, the grand opening of the Christmas tree in the Donetsk Ice Palace "Almaz" was held. The event was attended by Chairman of the DPR People's Council Denis Pushilin, the DPR Minister of Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism Michael Mishin.

Chairman of the DPR People's Council, permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR in the Trilateral contact group at negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin participated in the "Theme" programme on the TV channel "Union."

On December 26, a round table, dedicated to results of the Minsk process in 2016 and prospects for 2017, was held in TASS.

On December 25, the Donetsk People’s Republic is mourning with the brotherly people of Russia over Tu-154 plane crash.

The cease-fire in Donbass, according to the agreement reached in Minsk, will enter into force on the night of December 24, and must act termlessly. Delegation's head at the Minsk negotiations, the Chairman of the People's Council Denis Pushilin told DAN this today.

Foreign policy of any country is determined by its policy direction in the international stage. An old way of execution of foreign policy is a diplomatic mission in another country. 

On December 21, Contact group's last meeting in 2016 on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass held in Minsk. The agenda included issues of compliance with the armistice, the implementation of the agreement on disengagement of forces and means, exchange of prisoners.

Britain began its withdrawal from the European Union, but it has not left Europe. The UK threw off Brussels shackles of the united Europe after Brexit and it has returned to its traditional policy – an insular isolationism, strengthened by actions of influence agents in other counties. 

The situation in Aleppo is gradually stabilizing and the city is under the government’s control. The local residents regained hope for salvation, justice and future without war after long battles, destruction and civilian casualties.

On December 17, the Donetsk State Academic Music and Drama Theatre hosted a commemorative event, dedicated to the DPR Security Agency Worker's Day. The event was attended by Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko and Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin.
