Parliamentarians commemorate civilians killed in shelling of Bosse microdistrict
On January 22, a requiem rally was held in the Leninsky district of the city of Donetsk, dedicated to the fourth anniversary of the tragedy in the Bosse microdistrict. DPR Head Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, the deputies of the People’s Council, the heads of ministries and departments, the city dwellers took part in the memorial service that took place at the site of the tragedy.
DPR Head Denis Pushilin urged the rally participants not to lose faith in the triumph of peace and to hold carefully the memory of the perished Republican citizens.
“Four years have passed since the moment when Ukrainian terrorists fired on one of the busiest areas of the city of Donetsk. Our countrymen died, many were wounded. Sometimes it seems that this is a dream and one wants to quickly wake up. But, alas, these are the cruel realities of inhumane Ukrainian aggression. Realities that force us to face horrendous crimes to this day. Be it is a trolleybus at Bosse, a bus near Volnovakha, or terrorist shelling at checkpoints.
Our enemies would like us to falter and cease our struggle. But no! We have no right! We must win! We must remember all those who were lost. Bless the memory of the dead. We will never forget and will definitely come to victory,” Denis Pushilin emphasized.
Vladimir Bidyovka noted for his part that the criminal actions of the Kiev authorities would not be forgotten.
“For four years as of now, this date has been a day for us to commemorate the tragedy, when Ukraine criminally targeted civilians. We cannot forget this pain, and it will never leave our hearts.
The Kiev authorities still want to take away from us the right to choose and even the right to life, but we will not allow it. We must achieve a long-awaited victory and peace. Bless the memory of the dead!” the Speaker of Parliament said.
Deputy Julia Mikhaylova, who suffered during the shelling of the Bosse microdistrict, in an interview with journalists shared her memories of the tragic events of that day.
“I was in a trolleybus number 17 and I remember everything that happened that day – a terrible explosion that triggered the alarm in the cars, fire, the smell of gunpowder… I looked at myself and saw my hand and leg torn off. When I crawled out of the trolleybus, a few more shells landed. These memories hurt me till now. It hurts a lot,” the parliamentarian said.
