Vladimir Bidyovka: Despite Ukraine’s provocations, we will achieve conflict settlement through diplomacy (video)

We have not yet reached a full-fledged peace, but each saved life and a departure from the “hot stage” of the war as a whole confirm the fact that the Minsk agreements are in fact the only way to resolve the conflict with Ukraine by diplomatic means. Chairman of the DPR People’s Council of Vladimir Bidyovka said this was in an interview with a DPR’s official site correspondent.

“The Minsk agreements, the so-called “Minsk-2”, were concluded in a difficult year for our Republic. The determining factor in this period was that they were supported by the UN Security Council.

To date, the Package of Measures for the implementation of the Minsk agreements is actually the only document for the peaceful settlement of the conflict with Ukraine. Unfortunately, the Kiev authorities are trying, under various pretexts, to thwart the implementation of the Minsk agreements and to shirk the responsibility assumed. Our Republics are doing everything they can to ensure that these agreements are implemented, because we know the price of peace.

It should be noted that people often ask the question: what does “Minsk” give us and do we need it? To date, we can say that the number of bombardments has decreased significantly. We left the “hot stage” of the war. We have not come to the peace, but every saved life justifies this document. Despite Ukraine’s provocations, we will achieve the conflict settlement through diplomacy,” the Parliament Speaker noted.
